Review on πŸ’„ L'Oreal Paris K1828700 Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation Makeup, 102 Shell Beige - Review, Price, and Benefits by Mary Williams

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No more semi-matte finish, now full chalky matte finish!

I used to love the Loreal Pro Matte Foundation so I was thrilled when I saw that they sell it here at Revain for a little less than the drugstore. And they had new shades that I couldn't find anywhere else. So I ordered the lightest shade they had to try as usually all their shades are a bit darker on me especially in winter. Wow, this is a BAD product. It might work for someone very young with very oily skin idk but this stuff is so dry it dries out before you apply and blend. It's so dry it accentuates wrinkles you didn't even know you had, instantly turning into fine lines. It is no longer a velvety semi-matt base, but a full-fledged chalky matte finish. I've tried with some primers (and without them, which was horribly bad), tried setting with and without powder and setting spray, tried applying with my fingers, a beauty blender and brushes. It also starts to disintegrate immediately which I've never seen, it takes less than 3 hours for large chunks of it to completely flake off. Yes, it's peeling, it's so chalky. It oxidizes heavily on the skin and turns orange. Not just a little peach, but a real faux orange-brown, and it's getting darker. It actually got darker than the old beige, which was supposed to be a darker shade. Mixing with a white base mixer helped a bit with oxidation but not with other issues. I don't know what they did to the formula but now it's terribly bad. I will definitely not buy this product again. I suggest if you like the old formula, go to drug stores now and stock up before it's all gone.
