Don't like it when you buy ads for a product and it ends up meeting your expectations? Meet the monks VE. This is probably the best stealthy earbud for the money right now. They come with a zipped pouch that also comes with a set of foam sleeves. They're a bit larger compared to other headphones, but that really depends on your ears. I have no problem wearing them for hours. I rejected foam covers, they seem obtrusive to me. The plastic is smooth, the ears do not hurt. Overall the build quality is really good, the cable is a bit thicker than I expected. they should hold up well. Sound: Such inexpensive headphones are difficult to describe. If you are looking for value for money, just stop reading this and go get it. You are so good. A little more critically, I'd still say that their sound signature is really damn good, even when compared to Big Boi headphones and their respective competitors in this category. The mids are just amazing. Everyone raves about it; Icing on the cake. The level of detail in this range is impressive on its own, especially when you consider the price. That's no small feat for headphones. Very spacious feeling. High frequencies are reset. inconspicuous, if you will. If you use brighter headphones (DT990 in my case) you will find them a bit muted. A bit of glitter is missing, but after a while you really grow to love them. It has such a sound signature when you want to crank up the volume. The Sony MDRE9LPs sound a lot brighter than these, but they have no bass at all. bass is ok it is, and it's punchy. almost no sub-bass. Come on, give them a break. The Yincrow X6s (this earbud's main competitor) are a bit wider at low frequencies, but they're too harsh on my ears. I didn't like them as much as this one. You can't go wrong with monks. You get headphones that far outperform their price range in many ways. Dirty cheap, good sound.
