Great headphones. in headphones

Pros 1) nice mids and highs, no hiss 2) big, airy, open soundstage 3) sounds better when paired with an amp 4) best used in a quiet room to get the Really appreciate the amazing soundstage Cons 1) the bass is there but don't expect a deep booming subwoofer, these are in-ear headphones after all 2) as you would expect with headphones, the sound isolation is next to zero so people can hear your music. 3) The sponge is easy to tear.

Impressive sound for the price

This isn't like the usual useless $10 headphones you see waiting in line at big stores. They have remarkably tight and punchy low frequencies, clear mids and clear highs. They can get a little noisy, but the overall sound quality is absolutely stunning for the price. If someone would let me listen to them without naming a price, I'd say they cost around $50, not exactly $10. Can they compete with my $70 Fiio ex1 or $200 Mee Audio P1? no But if you don't want to spend more than €50 on headphones

Stunning and definitely the best sounding headphones.

Amazing and by far the best headphones I've ever heard. You just have to keep your expectations under control. Being not iem they don't seal very well and for me they were a bit uncomfortable with prolonged use. Some people prefer IEM headphones and for those people this will be a home game. Not much sub-bass, but that's to be expected given they don't seal in the ear. The upper bass is plentiful and very clean, with no distortion. The mids are good, straight and crisp, with excellent…

Not worth the audiophile fuss (no headphone amp)

The technically minded argument that these headphones have unusually high impedance certainly played a role in my experience. Straight out of the iPhone, the frequency response is *very* sensitive to loudness: to my ears, anything below 50-60% suffers from attenuation. (The mids and highs, in particular, fall off precipitously at moderate volumes.) While other reviews note that the VE Monks don't block sound as well, I find this desirable: old style, no ear canal. - Earbuds allow you to leave…

Best value for money of all Earbuds.Periode!

Why aren't they more popular? . Less than $12 (currently). The Venture Monks offer great sound quality for listening to music, comfort and most importantly value. - You know, I have Focal, Sennheiser and Sony ANC headphones, as well as several portable amplifiers, DAPs and DACs in my collection. I travel discreetly with them and use them for music, audio books, podcasts and more. I can't stand IEMs (in-ear headphones). These "buds" sit outside the ear canal and are very comfortable and easy to…

Great budget headphones but I'd rather have more bass

After listening to some of my favorite tracks on TIDAL via iPhone XS Max (no EQ) via Apple Lightning on 3.5mm Adapter, no EQ That sounds good. Bass response is lacking for my taste in music, but that's to be expected with this form factor. The bass is IS, just not the way I like it. Then I tried my computer. As soon as I turn on the equalizer, the sound is significantly better to my ears. I connected this to the Schiit Magni Heresy via my ASUS DGX card with Dolby Access for my EQ. The "Warm"…

Behind these

If you look at the recommendations on the internet, you can see that the Monk Budget Hi-Fi Headphones are highly recommended and praised as great by many people. At the same time, I don't know what I expected from a $10 pair of headphones. Build quality is good for the price, can't expect much from something cheaper than lunch, it has quite a bit of extra foam. headphone cases, and the feel is solid even if everything is plastic or rubber. At least it looks like an improvement over what you'll…

Dirty cheap, good sound.

Don't like it when you buy ads for a product and it ends up meeting your expectations? Meet the monks VE. This is probably the best stealthy earbud for the money right now. They come with a zipped pouch that also comes with a set of foam sleeves. They're a bit larger compared to other headphones, but that really depends on your ears. I have no problem wearing them for hours. I rejected foam covers, they seem obtrusive to me. The plastic is smooth, the ears do not hurt. Overall the build quality

If you like headphones you should have a pair of these

I just bought another set of these vemonk+ after not having a working pair for about a year and I was satisfied enough to write a review even after I have owned several sets of these for years. I compared them to my other latest headphones, the Sennheiser HD560s. I also just bought an E30 DAC and a L30 headphone amp, couldn't resist buying them now that all the flaws have been ironed out and for the crazy peak power that has been squeezed out of them. They're a great base for testing…
