Review on Moha Presto Butter White 20001 by Erika Martin

Great idea, poor execution and functionality

I buy big blocks of Amish rolled butter which can be a bit bulky for everyday use and we love butter to be ready for painting. In the cooler seasons I keep butter in an oil cap on the counter so we have butter to spread; However, once warm weather sets in, it goes rancid too quickly to ignore. I figured I'd try pouring the butter into a mold that melts faster and is easier to spread. It did not work. First, the thing is cut so that when turning, the piston pushes the oil to the grater. Unfortunately, the quality of the product leads to its streak. For example, if you twist it, it will pop and the threads will jump. Second, the end of the grater rotates the wrong way, so if you hold it to twirl the butter, it unscrews and pops out. It would be better if they made this part with reverse threads. After all, there is no good way to capture it. Outside everything is smooth and round, nothing will snag (yes I said catch) and in the process you inevitably smear some oil on your hands, it becomes slippery and impossible to turn. Maybe regular butter would work better, but it definitely didn't work with my ghee. This goes into the donation basket. Maybe someone else has better luck with that than me.

Pros
  • Butter spreads easily without cracking crackers or tearing up bread
Cons
  • Appearance
