This sensor was purchased specifically for use with Home Assistant. Paired with a generic ZigBee USB dongle, this sensor worked great right out of the box. You need to press and hold the hole reset button on the top for 5 seconds to put it into pairing mode. Connected instantly. I calibrated this sensor against another temperature sensor and found it to be accurate to within +/- 1% or so. The only thing that bothers me is that two AAA batteries are not included in the kit. If you're looking for a home hack and want to use Home Assistant with a humidity/temperature sensor, this works great.
