Review on 🍡 Top-Quality Davidson's Tea: Gunpowder Green, 1-Pound Bag for Bulk Purchase by John Mceachern

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mostly positive. for beverages

I wish each flavor could be considered and judged individually. So far I've liked almost all of the ones I've ordered, but some stand out because they don't match the rest. Sun, moon and stars. Unfortunately, this mix is just terrible. Oolong overpowers everything, and that's partly because oolong tea is different from other teas. Oolong needs to be steeped before brewing for tea to get rid of the musty smell. Because it's blended with much more delicate green and jasmine teas, the pre-steep also removes much of their flavor, particularly the aroma of jasmine flowers. Pumpkin Spice - Tastes really good when made with water but seems to go well with milk so I'll try that before I say it's a bad concoction. Orange Spice is tasty but very spicy. If you want a strong cinnamon tea with hints of other holiday flavors, this is a great option. Cinnamon Apple - Mild cinnamon flavor, very light fruit flavor. Good but not great Earl Gray Red - Very strong Earl Gray flavor quite pleasant English Breakfast - Good strong black tea as you would expect. Slightly musty taste, but nothing bad. I'm used to Bigelows and Twinnings lacking that muff, but generally prefer Davidsons because they taste better overall. Peppermint - Yes, it's peppermint. Clean, refreshing and cool; as it should be. Chamomile – Lovely sweet honey tones with no sugar. Perfect! Spring Fruit & Flowers is my absolute favourite. It is exactly what the name suggests, a lightly floral and heavily fruity scent.
