Review on Dental Herb Co. - Essentials Toothpaste: Flouride-Free Herbal Formula for Complete Oral Care (4 oz.) by Tony Baker

I'm disappointed in the changes they've made - I won't be using this product until it changes.

I have loved Dental Herb toothpaste and gumpaste for many years. No foaming agents, just medicinal herbs that have given me healthy gums and teeth. Then they went and ruined it and joined the stupid race to keep xylitol (something that kills dogs, so watch out your pet doesn't get your toothpaste!) in everything because it makes teeth so slippery microbes don't can be liable. . Xylitol gives me an upset stomach when I swallow candy or food, so I'm always careful with anything that contains it and don't eat foods that contain it. This toothpaste now tastes less good, doesn't leave a clean and quality mouthfeel like the previous version and makes me look for another toothpaste. And to top it off, they've trademarked the phrase "Truly Natural," which is a surprise because xylitol isn't natural at all — it may be a tiny fraction of sugar, but it has to be extracted in a lab, which isn't it is necessary. not natural at all which is why they lie when they say it is "really natural" and they have banned any other company that might actually have a truly natural product from using that phrase! Dental Herb has shown that unlike its beginnings as a company that genuinely cared about its customers, it has now grown into yet another company where profit is more important than product quality or customer care. I don't want xylitol entering my system through oral ingestion and we all know that medications often have instructions to be "put under the tongue" because it's well known how easy it is to get into our bodies that way to get. If you are looking for a "truly natural”(tm) dental product, you need to look elsewhere.

Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
