I mounted this light on a Springfield Saint Edge. The tip of the light was about 3 inches behind the muzzle brake. First round through with the light on, the lens shattered. This light would PROBABLY only sustain handgun cartridges (9mm, 40, 45, etc.).Strobe function requires a lot of input (turn light on then flip through 3 different settings until strobe is active). Typically you would want the strobe function easy to active or at least with much less input.Some positives, build quality was good for the price, pressure switch tactile feel is solid and definitive.Overall I WOULD NOT recommend this product for any actual fire arm. The last thing you want is a broken light when using your weapon in a low light situation.
