I have many health problems, I use a wheelchair, so I'm always colder than others. I thought it would be a good way to send me a little extra warmth without disturbing everyone else. It's quite small and easily fits on my bedside table. It has an auto power off feature so it will shut off if accidentally knocked over. It's also small enough that I can take it to the porch with me. It makes some noises, which is very typical for fans. It doesn't bother me and almost feels like a white noise machine.
