What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

This CPU was mine because it performed well in World of Tanks. A Phenom II X4 920 with 3.4 GHz came before it. As luck would have it, I chose to improve myself. First, the Phenom II X4 920 with its 3.4 GHz processor and 4 GB of DDR2-6400 memory. Took a 760gtx video card out of active duty (reference). The tanks seemed uninterested in the new map, posts began to trickle in on the forum, and it was discovered that the tanks game is processor-dependent, with the best frame rate being seen on Intel processors. Also, compared to the AMD FX 8350, this i5-4670 uses around 100 watts less power. Using a calculator, I determined that the savings on my monthly electricity costs would more than cover the initial outlay. Taking into account that I require a percent for gaming and that I take it for three years, the i5-4670 was the clear winner. Even if I favor AMD, I do not oppose logic. Before, I always had the percentage, video card, and even memory overclocked. Given the i5-4670feeble K's pursuit this time around, I opted to call it a day on the overclocking front. Also, the lack of solder behind the lid hinders CPU heat dissipation. Tanks don't seem to slow down and other games started running much faster, but at work in Windows, the web, and text editors, I don't notice any difference. Perhaps things just started loading a little faster in the system. As a result, if you're not into tank-heavy games, you can feel comfortable building your own PC around an AMD FX 8350/8320 processor. For the simple reason that you won't notice a huge change.

Pros
  • Victorious play in contests. Saving power.
Cons
  • The cover is held on by Velcro rather than solder. Price. Does not work with the quickest RAM! Pure DDR3-1600 only.
