Review on 💾 Seagate 6TB Enterprise Capacity HDD: High Performance SATA 6Gb/s Drive with 128MB Cache by Rob Dixon

Great drive. I received two of these and am using them on a Dell Precision workstation. It's a drive, not an operating system. I don't work in the raid, but the hard drive runs 24/7. In this case it is about 40 degrees Celsius. When transferring 4 TB of data on it, it was up to 45 degrees. The case gets very hot and I added an external fan to keep it cool. Without an external fan, the drives heat up by about 5 degrees (up to 50 degrees when transferring large amounts of data). Seagate states that these drives are suitable for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation in 55 degrees Celsius.
