Review on Men'S Taclite Pro Shorts 9.5-Inch, Made With Poly/Cotton Ripstop Fabric And Teflon Finish, Style 73287 By 5.11 Tactical by Sangmin Barrett

Durable shorts, but they run a little tight.

Shorts are obviously made well. Material seems to be tough, and there is extra stitching problem areas. Water does roll right off rather easily, which is another good point. Shorts have plenty of deep, useful pockets, which is one of the main selling points for me. I do have one minor complaint, and that is these shorts run a little snug. Not only are they somewhat snug in the waistband, surprising considering there is elastic in the waist, but the shorts are also pretty snug through the thigh area. This limits my ease of movement quite a bit, cutting back on the practical use of these so-called "tactical" shorts. Most of the cargo shorts that I typically wear have more room in the thigh, making movement easier. All in all, I like these shorts, and I recommend them, but if you have thicker legs like I do, these won't be the most comfortable shorts.

Pros
  • The 9.5-inch length provides ample coverage while still allowing for ease of movement
Cons
  • The shorts collect sweat stains easily
