Review on TECBEARS No Tangle Filament for Dimensional Printing by Mark Adams

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Should have known better than to trust 100% 5 stars.

The first clue I ignored was the fact that the reviews for this filament were so great, all five stars, especially for the price. I was a bit tired of this but ignored that fact and fell into the trap of the 5 star reviews. First my first impressions. The material looks great on the roll. I can honestly say that I haven't seen the best role yet. After initial trials, the composition of this plastic turned out to be poor at best. A cannot blame or refute their claims that they roll this material properly, at least through the first few layers. Now let's get to the actual quality of this thread. After an evening of trying out temperature combinations, draw settings, etc. that I've never had to bother with when it comes to the extremes of pure PLA, I tried to get this to work. The longest print I could get was 20 minutes before it got clogged through many attempts. I have tried everything from 180°C to 240°C, without success by the way. Remember this is a printer that has worked flawlessly day in and day out with "cheap" brands like Tron XY and Domestic. (Ender 3 are tanks, and they come out of the box and use Cura's default settings 99% of the time. Anyone who owns one knows about this.) Color wise, I don't know where all those glossy prints I see released, but since I can type a little before clogging occurs, all I see is a dull, flat surface. I hope my threads are back in stock so I don't have to dice for advertised junk. It sucks to lose a whole week of writing time because I rolled and lost with a new thread based on 5 star ratings.

Cons
