I needed to connect a JVC VCRHQ Composite VCR to an Onkyo TX-SR674 receiver that was 9 feet away on a bookshelf. Onkyo supports all levels of digital and analogue inputs, but my JVC VCR is older and speaks basically analogue. I wanted this to occasionally play VHS tapes through a home theater system. I also wanted to record from time to time. These cables do the job. They have gold plated RCA contacts and the cables are sized to easily fit through my bookshelf. The sound and picture quality is as good as an old video recorder.
