Review on Powered 3 5Mm Laptop Speaker Soundbar by Alejandro Lane

I started with five stars and kept going. The sound is definitely a 5. It's MUCH louder than the pathetic Beatsaudio speakers on my HP laptop and not really tinny at all. NO buzzing or hissing when in use or when there is no sound. VERY PRETTY! In general, the design is acceptable, it's plastic with a coated metal grille. My laptop doesn't actually travel with me, so I don't have to worry about it bumping, dusting or getting wet in the field. In fact, the instructions warn you NOT to wet or dust them. There MUST be a speaker jack!) and when the blue light comes on you are cooking on gas! Where it loses a star is the legs that attach it to your laptop screen. They have two front legs that hang over the top front edge of the screen and a longer back leg that you fold down to attach to the back. All legs have pads, which is good. The problem is that the distance between the front and back is too big, so the speaker sits precariously over the screen. In fact, it won't fall off unless you hit the table and type too hard. But if you're actually using your laptop on your lap or tilting and/or tilting it, you could be in trouble. I want to avoid this so I'll try adding some foam or soft tape to see if that lengthens the fit. If that doesn't work I'll have to use either velcro or double sided foam tape to secure it. In any case, I will not be returning the device as the sound quality and the price paid far outweigh the inconvenience! The overall dimensions of this speaker are 9-1/4" x 2-5/16".
