Review on Red Bialetti 4942 Moka Express Espresso Maker by Agata Jasiczek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product for me, no problems at all.

Be careful with loudness. I pour in two heaping teaspoons of coffee, each containing 8 grams. I add a few extra sprinkles on top of that. Even so, the coffee reservoir is not quite full; rather, it is at around two-thirds full at this point. Maybe 3/4 max. That is, there is a significant amount of consumption caused by the coffee maker. In point of fact, this is the reason why I eventually upgraded to a more compact coffee machine. Yet I make use of both. About the cost, there are two schools of thought: on the one hand, it's a bit pricey, but on the other hand, objects of this nature last for decades.

Pros
  • Lovely vintage moka. Comfortable handle. Another prominent manufacturer offers a version of their moka made of aluminum that is more compact. Even when just partially loaded, the Bialetti produces coffee that has a superior flavor. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it might have something to do with a huge volume or the proportion of the lower bowl's volume to that of the coffee tank.
Cons
  • There are numerous minor flaws on the metal, and initially steam flowed between the bowls. They claim that this is not a flaw, but rather a feature)) At this point, it does not poison (I bought it more than a year ago).
