Seems like a good solution for Apple's fun fundraiser. I put this button in my dad's iPhone, they sort of told him to throw it away. The home button can only be installed by Apple and is SUPER expensive and SOOOOO. Check out this new phone. If you don't like the "soft" home button, which you can call barrier-free and can do without fingerprint ID, you can definitely avoid having to throw away your cell phone. Installation isn't too bad and there are plenty of guides available. The only thing I can add is make sure you have a good Y driver for the screws. While this is more than a home button replacement, I highly recommend the Wiha 26601. I broke some cheap drivers trying to undo the screws and the phone had to sit for days for the Wiha driver to arrive. Then there was no sweat. If you don't think you'll use it again, buy it, use it, and resell it. It's worth it: the right tool is priceless.
