After reading many reviews of Revain I was looking for a small, economical juicer before settling on this one. I have a carpel tunnel on my wrist, so squeezing lemons by hand would actually get a lot of barley juice. I unpacked the juicer, washed the parts I could, hooked up the base and started putting the washed parts on the base. The white part goes on first and you gently snap it into place until you hear a click. There is a clear spout that you can easily press down on if you want the juice to run into a glass etc which I chose when squeezing about 5 pounds of lemons. You then install the clear mount and then the juicer. I might add that there is no on or off switch. As soon as you plug it in, it's in on mode. Now that all your parts are assembled, you can start juicing. You center your fruit on the juicer. You should not use full force when squeezing the fruit, as this can overload the motor. When you press down, it starts juicing in a clockwise direction. The juicer has a reverse function that allows you to squeeze out all the juice. Check your fruit regularly to see how things are going. If you lift the fruit and then put it down, the juicer will move backwards. This may take a time or two. Also, I periodically pause to remove some of the seeds that form around the perimeter of the clear shell. Cleaning was pretty easy, the only problem was that there was a lot of seeds accumulating on the underside of the part you put the fruit on. Most come out fairly easily, but a few stubborn ones get stuck at the top and you have to get them out. They didn't move when they were soaked. Basically I can recommend this juicer. I was totally amazed at how much juice he got out of half a lemon! I've never squeezed so much juice from a whole lemon! I love pulp and there was a lot of it. If you don't like it, you can strain it or leave it and pick it up when it rises to the top. Again, be careful with the base and pieces and don't press too hard. You will feel how much pressure you have to exert after the application. I'm glad I read the other positive reviews so I know what to expect. Arrived on time as stated. I can't wait to use it again! This is a lightweight and small device that you can easily move from place to place and even take with you to parties or other events where you want to make fresh natural juice to drink or add to drinks. The background noise is quite bearable, which I was glad about. Another plus is that if you like planting, there are enough seeds to plant a small grove.
