Destroyed paintwork

I bought this cover for my 2013 Magma Red 370z in April 2018 as I thought Motor Trend was a quality product I could trust for my weekend car. Well I washed my Z, let it dry well and put the covers on the next day. The car is in the driveway as it is no longer my primary means of transportation; Bought another car to commute to and from work to avoid commuting to my Z. Between April and September I got really sick so I covered it up without worrying because the cover was a Motor Trend product! I removed the cover sometime in September 2018 and to my surprise (shock) I had white discoloration spots on the paint that didn't clear up and I can't remove them at the time of this comment 10/28/2018. As far as I can tell, the lid was forcing moisture between the clear paint and the Magma Red paint, likely due to insufficient breathing/airflow to remove moisture trapped under the lid due to moisture. Disappointed is putting it mildly! I hope this helps the next person considering this product. I didn't get a quote for a paint job, but I'm pretty sure it costs over $1000 for a factory paint job. I wish you all good luck in using it when you buy it.
