Review on Magellan Maestro 3250 3 5 Inch Navigator by Lee Rodriguez

Although this was my first GPS, I've looked at all the other "budget" Garmins, TomToms, HK, etc. You can always justify spending another $20 here or there and pretty soon have a $700 device. I prefer the 3250's interface to the competition - simple, intuitive, fewer screens. It works great especially with the firmware update which sealed the deal for me. The advantages were: - Text-to-speech - nice street names to hear. - price (low!) - user interface (very basic) - display - less "cartoony" - size - wanted a small 3.5" device as it is a "part time" device - POIs - lots POIs make GPS a lot more useful as I don't know when I started looking. Added bonuses: - Traffic - 1 year free if I bought it - AAA Tourbook - not as integrated as I'd like but hey it's up and running - Bluetooth - was able to connect but haven't used it much yet messed around. not the best, I'm sure. but it was a bonus Cons: The only thing I would like is the ability to preview the route. You can simply open the turn list to see where it leads, or zoom out, zoom out, zoom out. I originally bought the 3225 on a whim during a trip. Then I bought a Magellan Roadmate 1412 for comparison. After seeing the low price of the Revain 3250, only $18 more than my 3225, I was sold!
