These knives are fantastic! Recommended by one of my favorite real cooking moms - Raising Generation Nourished - because they don't help much in the kitchen and learn how to use knives safely before they're ready to work with a really sharp knife. My little one has been helping in the kitchen since she learned to sit and is always willing to help. I bought her a vegetable cutting set from Melissa and Doug and it lasted her a while so she could cut her own food while her mom cut hers next to her. But pretty quickly she decided she wanted to cut the same thing I did and her knife wasn't up to it. She always asks to bring a knife to help. I wanted an option for her that I would be happy to give her, knowing I could be temporarily distracted from cooking at any time. It was the answer! The knives arrived and I was so impressed with their quality and design. My husband didn't really believe in their safety, so before he let them be used, he tried them out quite aggressively to make sure they really couldn't cut into her skin. They passed the test and he was shocked. So now they have papa's security seal. Now our 4 year old daughter loves to help me cook and use her girly knives!
