I struggled with this thing for a few hours trying to get it to work with Octopi via Octodash, only to find out that the cable I was trying to use was a power-only cable. After replacing it with a cable out of the box, a real data cable, it worked and after seeing reviews that it only works with the cable that came with it, I tested it with some other known working cables and it still worked fine . The only problem was that I only used the power cord. Connected to a Pi 4b 4gb, got drivers and edited the Pi 4 config in the manual and everything worked without any problems.
