I was looking at this wireless network adapter because my home router is across the house and a wired connection isn't an option or if I'm using an ethernet outlet I'm only getting speed for low bandwidth operations like VoIP or Facebook. I have made many downloads with this network card of various sizes. from a few MB to many hundreds of GB. Every situation with him is the same: he starts strong, blocks what comes from my modem, then slowly (or suddenly. Depending on his mood) slows down to a crawl, and then nothing. At this point I've found two solutions: restart the adapter and hope it turns back on, or switch to my *much* slow but stable ethernet. Most of the time I usually pick the last option as I know it will complete rather than kicking myself out after 3 minutes of running. TL; DR: Crawl slows down after a few minutes. I wouldn't have bought it the first time if I could have read those more recent reviews.
