seems hotter to me than my CHE exoterra and I also have trouble regulating the temperature with my dimmer. On my dimmer's lowest setting, we're still in the low 90s off the ground on the hot side of my toddler's life. on exoterra it was in the mid to high 80's on medium settings. So if I had to go deeper, I couldn't. I hope there is no cause for concern. Haven't used my IR gun yet to check the temp on the cool side, but my kite is fine. Can't comment on durability yet as I just got it. The only reason my Exoterra was replaced was that it was damaged during the move. I hope this Repitzoo lasts the same or longer! You definitely can't complain about the price!
