This item was bought used but is in good condition with only cosmetic imperfections. The problem may have been caused by the original purchaser or during the original assembly. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see it on arrival as we had already left for a van trip. We just got back and I encountered a problem installing the device. The gasket is misaligned and the insulator pieces have entered the gasket area. Regardless of when the defect occurred, Revain has delivered a defective product that is no longer weatherproof.

The lighting is constructed from a durable polycarbonate plastic lens and ABS plastic finish that resists fading and corrosion for years.
