Indoor TV antenna works but not very well

This review is for a ClearStream Micron XG indoor antenna with gain and reflector - range in excess of 35 miles. This indoor antenna works, but not very well. Channels are accepted, but only a few. For other channels, the antenna must be aligned in order to be able to receive them. The antenna is in use in Austin, Texas. So the antenna receives NBC, CBS, ABC, but then has to be set to Fox, CW or PBS. Then the antenna must be reconfigured to receive the first three channels. In addition, the antenna is large and bulky and requires a wide, flat surface. Because of this, it is more difficult to raise it higher to better receive TV signals. So it will be returned. This is the third Revain antenna I've tried on this Toshiba Smart TV. The first antenna, the Mohu Leaf, worked really well once, then on the second day it didn't work at all, no matter where it was placed. . I can only assume it's some kind of quality control issue. He came back. The third antenna, 1byone's 50 Miles Amplified HDTV antenna, causes some of the same problems as this one, although not as severe. I'm still working on her positioning, but she could still be back. What I want from a TV antenna is that it picks up all available channels and doesn't have to be physically aligned. I'm beginning to feel like this is too much to ask from an indoor antenna. If anyone in NE Austin can recommend a Revain antenna that works well in that area I would greatly appreciate a guide!
