This light works well but it really needs a more directional reflector. It emits light in a cone and can irritate oncoming traffic. At full brightness it looks like the landing lights of an airliner. I compare it to my SON eDelux flashlight, which has a very well designed reflector to only illuminate the road ahead and make the most of its LED output. If this flashlight had such a reflector, it would be possible to use lower brightness and save battery life. However, this light gets the job done and I love the USB charging and mounting system. The metal body is heavier than it looks and is said to survive a 1 meter drop - but I won't try it! UPDATE MARCH 26, 2021 I've noticed a major benefit of this flashlight when using it in blinking mode. : Cars stopped jumping out of alleys, driveways and alleys in front of me. The flashing light really lets people know someone is coming. That alone justifies the purchase.
