I am a keen biker and have used a lot of flashlights in my time. First-class lamps are too expensive, but the cost savings tend to come at the expense of quality, especially in the assembly area. This light works well but it really needs a more directional reflector. It emits light in a cone and can irritate oncoming traffic. At full brightness it looks like the landing lights of an airliner. I compare it to my SON eDelux flashlight, which has a very well designed reflector to only illuminate the road ahead and make the most of its LED output. Bright 1000 lumen top light perfect for on or off road driving - great beam. The 800 lumen bottom lamp reflects straight down so I can see my front wheel which is unique and useful. The overall construction is solid and feels like a durable product. It's a bit heavy for its size, which doesn't bother me, just an observation. Over the years I've had several rechargeable lights with smaller and smaller remote control batteries. This light has a built-in rechargeable battery and is quite small for what it offers. The light is quite intense at high altitudes and should at least disturb oncoming drivers or cyclists.
