Review on ๐Ÿšต SRAM PG-970 9-Speed MTB Cassette: Ultimate Performance for Mountain Biking Adventures by Michael Cleveland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not sure if it was necessary

I replaced my chain with a SRAM P951 and thought for the price it was worth replacing the cassette at the same time. The bike shifts like new and the chain no longer jumps under load. I attribute it to the chain rather than the cassette. But the new cassette is now nice and shiny and the bike looks like new for a while too. Replacing the old cassette was easy with the right tool to unscrew the locking ring as well as the chain whip. Since the rule of thumb is to swap out the cassette when changing the chain, the price makes this rule easy to follow. I have used SRAM components on many of my bikes with great success.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
