parts as described, very easy to assemble (and I know nothing about cars). Literally the hardest part was supporting the light gate since I installed them myself. But it took maybe 10 minutes at most. It's only been a few days (will update later if anything changes) but they work great! Now I'm thinking of buying some more rear window regulators and doing the same, why not. it was easy and cheap. FYI: Search "How to install and replace Ford Escape Rear Lift Struts" on Google or YouTube if you want to see how easy the installation is. All you need is literally a small screwdriver.
