You get what you pay for. Yes they are cheaper but it takes a long time to get the first taste of filter flushing. My family pretty much had to learn how to turn on the faucet for 30 seconds before drinking water to avoid fun tastings. I would recommend getting a better filter and spending a few bucks more. They also don't have a choke plate like some of the best filters, so the flow of water out of the faucet isn't greatly reduced. That could be a plus I think.
