Simply drill out the rivets, screws to replace the rivets are included with the new window regulator. Use SILICONE GREASE. It is inert and will not interfere with plastic guides. When it dries it will be silicone wax, which is good, coat the guide channels and governor gear with it. I degreased and painted my regulator with industrial grade white enamel, cost $5, and I LIGHTLY oiled the Brillo ball studs that go into the guides to be smoother. It runs like butter, runs fast and fluid. takes a MAXIMUM of 2 hours 40 minutes if you don't want to paint it. And I had a very vague idea of what I was doing. This work and these guides will definitely serve you well if you make the effort.
