Review on Mounting Screws Rivets Silicone Computer by Michael Nard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great solution if your mounting holes are big enough

I recently replaced 2 standard fans with 4 RGB fans and saw these little gummy things. Let me tell you about my experience. I have a Masterbox 5 that will fit up to 4 x 120mm fans. I installed the rear exhaust fan with no problems, the rubber screws popped out easily. The 3 front intake fans are a different story. First I saw that the mounting holes were too small, so I took a drill and drilled the holes as far as I could without sacrificing stability. After trying to get the rubber bolts out with pliers for about an hour, I was only able to install 1 fan on the bottom bracket. The remaining two fans were installed using standard screws that I had with the case. The fans I installed with these rubber screws felt very secure, so I was happy with that. Please note that any exhaust fan you install with this will have small protrusions protruding from your case. One of the screws I was trying to install actually broke as I pryed the end out with pliers, but since you get 100 pieces that wasn't a big deal. If you end up ripping one of these, you will most likely have to remove the entire fan to replace the screw as you will need to screw the screws onto the fan before installing the fan into the case. All in all a great product if your case has big enough openings. Had I known this would be a problem I probably wouldn't have bought them.
