Bayonet connections allow for quick switching between multiple power tools. I also have a competing system that uses the tool on the tool put on but screwed into the vacuum hose and I think this system offers two distinct advantages over the previous system 1. Quick disconnect tool from hose makes it easy to switch between multiple tools, can be lengthened as it doesn't break off the tool but with this system the ends of the tool stay connected to the tool better.Here are a few tools in my shop, who are suitable for it. The complaint I have about this is that the tool bits can significantly increase the length of the tool. This isn't really a problem when using the tool, but it can make it difficult to keep. For example, my chainsaw does not fit in the systainer that it comes in with the attachment installed.
