Have been using Cuisinart filters for about 5 years. The first lasted about four years of daily use before the screen started peeling from the plastic. Very happy, I've ordered another one. The new one was made of much thinner plastic. The plastic edge broke after only a few months of use. We continued to use it until the resulting crack on the screen became so bad that it had to be replaced. The last one we've just received is made from the same light and thin plastic, only the handle is now cheaper and in most cases just pops out of the filter when you try to take the basket out of the coffee maker. I am sure. They save 1/2p on every product they make and so make more profit, but declining quality has ruined what was once a great product. This will be returned and I will find another from a different company who hopefully prioritize quality over profit. Update: I recently bought a Medelco #4 filter and the differences are like day and night. He is well built, strong, like Cuisinart once was. This is a better product and costs less to download. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TCZRKW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
