Does not meet Cuisinart standards

I have purchased many Cuisinart products over the years. This product does not meet Cuisinart standards and is still dangerous. Please look at his picture. There is a handle for lifting the filter from the plastic coffee brewing segment of the Cuisinart coffee maker. When the filter is inserted into the brew cone, the sides of the brew cone will cause the plastic handle of the filter to disengage from the filter. So when you take hot coffee grounds out of the coffee machine, they can fall out…

  • Great for me

Provides excellent speed drip irrigation. Withstands repeated hand washing.

After working with the Cuisinart gold filter for a while, I really liked its design. I use this with a #2 plastic filter holder that has 3 drain holes. The hard plastic bottom of the flattened cone is wider than my old filter, which put me off at first. But I soon discovered the big, significant benefit of this little design feature - it actually slowed dripping just enough to improve flavor. I let the coffee (ground espresso) swell or "degas" first by pouring a small amount of hot water over…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Good "permanent " cone filter

First of all I just want to say that this did NOT come with a coffee spoon as shown in the picture. I couldn't find anywhere that says it shouldn't be, I just assumed from the picture it should be. However, I only wanted to buy the filter, so the scoop would have been just a bonus anyway. A little deceptive, but no big deal. Secondly and most importantly I am very satisfied with this filter. I received a used Cuisinart DCC-1200 without a filter. I went and bought disposable brown cone filters…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

What I don't like here is that it's not clearly stated 2/5

1. Is the plastic of this filter BPA free or not? It is not explicitly stated whether the plastic contains BPA.2. There is no description of what the filter actually consists of. Some say it's plastic, some say it's metal. Mine appears to be metal but I didn't read the description carefully enough or assumed it would be thin or gold plated so the acid from the coffee wouldn't interact with the metal of the filter. That's close to what I had. before, but they have no markings or packaging…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • A few minor things

Cheaper thin plastic in new versions of this product

Have been using Cuisinart filters for about 5 years. The first lasted about four years of daily use before the screen started peeling from the plastic. Very happy, I've ordered another one. The new one was made of much thinner plastic. The plastic edge broke after only a few months of use. We continued to use it until the resulting crack on the screen became so bad that it had to be replaced. The last one we've just received is made from the same light and thin plastic, only the handle is now…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not reliable

After receiving it I was blown away by the quality compared to the original filter that came with my coffee maker unimpressed kitchen art. I saw reviews on here claiming it was fake so I went to Cuisinart.com and bought it there for $10 to see what was what. The package came from Conair Corp., Cuisinart's parent company. Turns out the one Cuisinart gave me is identical to Revain's. Only none of them reach the quality of the original. Looking at all 3 together: - The original has black satin…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Low repairability

this is enough to catch all the bases

As for those who complain that this filter is not durable and the network "split", I can say that the problem is probably the wrong one handling of the filter itself. Unlike paper filters, which are simply thrown in the trash, this one has to be cleaned by hand. If the user taps a trash can with the side of the filter to remove debris, this will likely result in the mesh detaching from the plastic frame within a few weeks of use. Instead, just use a (plastic) spoon to scoop out the ground soil…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Minor problems
