I bought this item a few weeks ago. The first screen I got had a few dead pixels, I had one dead pixel and I started the return process. The pixel is so small but I still demand my screens to be perfect. There should be no compromise on dead pixels, no matter how small, we pay a lot for screens and there shouldn't be a problem when they arrive. Don't be afraid to return a monitor with dead pixels, this could be a sign of a larger problem that can get worse over time. After making a return request I noticed more, in general there were 5 dead pixels on the first monitor. So I'm glad I'm back and the new monitor they sent me I'm happy to report that it has NO dead pixels! The monitor is a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel display so you get the best 3000:1 contrast ratio. Colors are also vibrant and really stand out. By using Visual Response Boost, the screen can achieve the effect of 1mm response time. I haven't seen any ghosts either. VA monitors have had issues with ghosting in the past, but luckily they've gotten a lot better and I think the problem has been fixed. HDR on this monitor doesn't work for me, for games that support HDR it's fine. I wouldn't buy it for HDR, but it's there if you want it. Also, with HDR on, the 1mm response time is off, giving you a 5mm response time. I remember reading this somewhere but now I can't find the review I read that said this. That might be a flaw, but overall HDR is fine. G-Sync works with this monitor. It's not software compatible but can be enabled, and since the screen is basically a curved and G-Sync certified Acer Nitro XV340CK, this monitor works. 144Hz is good, but don't make the mistake of buying a cheap display cable. You won't get the full experience if you use a cheap display or HDMI cable. Don't even think about using an HDMI cable, use a high quality Display Port cable. A lot of people have had problems with their monitors and have returned the monitor only to find out later that there was a cable the whole time. If you can't unlock the full 144Hz, this isn't your monitor. This is probably the cable you are using. So always check before sending the monitor back. Overall I like the monitor. I also have a Samsung Super Ultra-Wide 43" that I'm comparing against and overall I'm impressed. Why did I switch to this screen? Not many games can be viewed properly on Super Ultra-Wide. That's why I have this screen many games support ultra wide screens with no problem. The Samsung has better and brighter colors but this screen is sharper and I think it represents colors more accurately.I am giving this 4 stars due to the dead pixels when I got the first monitor got, and the lack of TRUE HDR. But if you are looking for an ultra-wide curved monitor at a reasonable price, it will give you a great gaming experience. You can't go wrong with it! When you receive this monitor for the first time, please charge for reference download and install the driver you need to go to device manager and click update monitors and drivers switch into the download folder where you downloaded the driver and install it. I think a lot of the problems people have with this monitor not working properly is because they don't have a driver installed. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/support-product/8434?b=1
