Ultrawide, 1440p, FreeSync, 10-bit color, 400 nits, DisplayHDR400, 144Hz, 1ms response time. At this price it doesn't get any better. I don't know, maybe it's just because I upgraded to this beast from two 23-inch 1080p IPS monitors, but it's an amazing upgrade. "But why is VA better than IPS?" You can ask that and trust me I was concerned about that too when I upgraded, but my previous monitors were only 250 nits ten times better. Ghosting is a little noticeable in darker color schemes, but it's still better than my previous monitors, so I think it depends on what you had before. The only issue with this monitor is quality control. 10 disoriented and a few dead pixels on the edges of the monitor. They can only be seen up close or if you look closely for them. To be honest, they aren't that bad and I was still able to enjoy them to the full. Me then? Find the clump of dead pixels that hit you in the face when you first turned on the monitor. I didn't have to look to see the black dot that turned what was an exciting day into a long process of finding a replacement. I really hope the replacement is better than this one and I'll let you all know when it arrives. At this point I can honestly say that this is a great purchase, apart from the terrible quality control on this particular device. - - - UPDATE 10/14/2020 - - - Got a new monitor and the quality control is much better. Unfortunately, the new one has a dead pixel, but it's shifted to the left and isn't noticeable in games or on the web. I've had a week to learn and use the previous device I'm returning, but here's my take: I recommend it to any 1080p or 60 hertz monitor. You will enjoy the higher quality and higher frame rate. Personally my favorite upgrade is the brightness as this is a 400 cd/m2 display (haven't used anything above that yet). I'm no expert on color identification or determining what looks best, but I made the following settings for the monitor in its menu: Brightness = 100 Contrast = 50 Black Gain = 1 In the NVIDIA Control Panel, under Change Resolution I changed the color depth of the Changed output to 10 bits per channel, which can run at 144 hertz (some monitors require you to lower the frequency first to select a higher bits per channel, this one doesn't). After making these changes in the monitor menu and NVIDIA control panel, the screen looks incredible. Try and buy this monitor when it's on sale, but honestly, for $500 you can't go wrong. It's a great upgrade in every way, as long as you don't need dual monitors.
