Review on SHIELDON Magnetic Kickstand Blocking Compatible by Amy Bell

First off, let me say that I very rarely review Revain - a product has to be either exceptionally good or exceptionally bad to motivate me to write a review. Also, I'm very skeptical of most reviews as it's hard to tell which ones are genuine. This review is written from the point of view of the average consumer here in the US, who ordered a product after looking at many similar options with no outside incentive to do so. I was looking for a case for my new iPhone 11 that would allow me to carry it with me. my ID and my credit card. Most of these cases store the cards on the back of the cases, which usually defeats the wireless charging feature. This prompted me to investigate "folio" or "purse"-type cases that hold cards on the front flap. I also wanted the case to look nice and be as thin as possible. My favorite case was the "Apple Leather Folio", which unfortunately is only available for the Pro model. Yes, and it also costs $100. So began the search for a decent replica of Apple's leather case. My requirements were as follows: 1) Storage capacity for 2 or 3 cards. 2) Protective but as thin as possible. 3) Compatible with wireless charger. 4) A lid that closes with magnets but without a strap that adds extra volume. 5) Good quality - doesn't look cheap and plasticky or rustic and homemade. 7) Inexpensive. I've found many folio cases that fit most specs, but some were too bulky, too expensive, looked cheap or ugly, had a strap I didn't like, etc. I kept coming back to this Shieldon. Model; Reviews were pretty good and it seemed to meet most requirements. My only question is, will it look cheap in real life and will it work with a wireless charger - wireless charging reviews are mixed. But he seemed the most promising of all the candidates, so I decided to give it a try. I received the case quickly and was impressed from the start. It comes in packaging that looks like it contains a more expensive product. The case itself looks like it would have to cost a lot more. Nothing makes me think this isn't real leather; it's soft and supple, but not tender at all. I got the orange color and was worried it might look cheap and shiny, but it's actually the perfect rich cognac/saddle brown that I was hoping for. Even the stitching is even and looks good. My phone plugged in easily and everything lines up well and the buttons are still easy to press. The only indications that this product is of Chinese origin are the fancy name "Shildong" and the stamp on the inner lid that says "feel the nature"... :)) So far, so good! I put three credit cards in it, and although the lid doesn't close as tightly, the magnetic closure still holds securely. A slight downside is that credit card ends touch the screen where they protrude from pockets. However, I have a screen protector on my phone and I'm not worried about cards rubbing the screen and leaving marks. I don't see this as a disadvantage as anything that prevents the cards from touching the screen adds thickness. I think this case is about as thin as you could make a folio case so it's perfect for me. If I was worried about cards touching the screen, I could put them all in a larger inner pocket instead; I've tried this and it actually allows the case to close tighter than when the cards are in separate slots. But again, with three cards in separate slots, it works great for me. As for the level of protection, I think it will protect just as well as anything else, except for the bulky max-protection case. The case's leather covering curves a little on all edges, making it look like it's going to provide extra cushioning if it falls off. An unexpected bonus - when the valve is fully open, it sticks to magnets on the back of the case; somehow it's good that this valve doesn't dangle freely. Of course you can't take pictures with the cover in this position, but of course if you use your phone to take pictures you won't fold the cover all the way down. I find shooting with the case very easy and it doesn't block the lenses at all. In fact, it offers very good lens protection. I'm not really interested in the RFID protection, but I can confirm that it works very well. I use my ID to scan at work and with my ID in case I can't scan it no matter what pocket I have it in or suitcase open or closed. I opened the case and pushed the case straight to the scanner, but it's still unreadable. Which brings us to the million dollar question... will it work with my cheap Anker wireless charger? Excitedly, I pulled out the charger, carefully placed the phone in the center of the charger and...nothing. I tried moving it and still nothing. Very disappointed I looked at my charger and found that the plug had come out of the socket and the light was not on. I plugged in the charger, tried repositioning the phone, and bingo! It buzzed, the charging light came on, and the display confirmed it was charging. Yes! I don't have to be very specific; I just center it and maybe move it around a bit until I feel the hum, and then it starts. Like it a lot! The only unresolved issue is hull durability. As I said, it seems to be of very good quality and I don't see anything to suggest it won't hold up well. But if it ever falls apart, the description says the case is covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. Whether this guarantee will stand up to scrutiny who knows, but at least it's a good guarantee. By the way, my wife didn't know anything about the history of finding this suitcase, but when I showed it to her, she was very surprised. impressed and wanted to know how much I spent. She told me it was time for me to get a nice suitcase. I've only had the case for a few weeks, but so far this is my favorite case I've ever owned. If you are looking for a skinny tome with the same characteristics as me, buy it, you will not regret it!
