-TLDR-These Maihear bluetooth hearing amplifiers not only amplify but also can pair with phone or bluetooth device to play music or watch movies. The amplification is pretty strong and If I had to put to put a number on its amplification strength I'd say it amplifies sound by 3 to 4 times. Out the box these are pretty lackluster, but once you pair it with the app that's when these start to shine. The app enables you to reduce/boost frequencies (500, 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, 5.5k Hz) which comes in handy if you struggle with certain frequencies. The app also enable EQ adjustment for music and can also choose to shut off surrounding sound or include it (transparent mode)+PROS++App features EQ adjustment, reduce/boost hearing amplification frequencies+Noise cancelling built in+Pocket friendly charging case (similar size to airpod case/ slightly bigger than floss)+Everything included to get started (charging cable, wall charger, 3 size tips, cleaning brush)+Lightweight and comfortable to wear-CONS--No volume adjustment by earbud, must be done by app/phone-Battery life 6-7 hrs per charge (according to instruction manual) / recharge time 1.5 hrs-No quick charge option for earbuds-ADDITIONAL NOTES & CONCLUSION-In order to get the most out of these amplifiers the app is a must. The app enables you to adjust amplification volume, boost/reduce 6 frequencies (500, 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, 5.5k Hz), adjust eq for music, change noise cancelling strength and conduct hearing tests are just some of the features that stand out. Amplification is fairly strong and if I had to put a number on it I'd say it amplifies sound by 300-400%. While amplification is strong, I found clarity to be just OK. I didn't have any issues understanding what people were saying it just didn't come thru crystal clear as it would from a device like airpods pro. While these do sound good when listening to music and watching movies, I wouldn't recommend using these while NOT connected to a bluetooth device. While listening to music or watching a video the ear amplifiers automatically shut off the mic so you don't hear surrounding environment, nice touch! When the music/video stops it automatically switches mic back on so you can hear whats going on around you. Also there is an option within the app to enable transparency mode which allows both music and surrounding noise to thru at the same time.My biggest complaint about these has to do with the battery life. If used as a primary hearing device for most of the day it would be tough to get thru an entire day due to the 6-7 hr battery life. Also the charging case doesn't have a quick charge option. To get the earbuds back to full charge it takes around 1.5 hrs after popping them back into the case. Also the lack of adjustment options via the touch sensor on the earbud is disappointing. The only adjustment that can be made is cycling thru the noise cancelling strength by double tapping the touch sensor. When paired to a phone while playing music you can also skip to the next track by touching and holding the sensor for a few seconds. No volume adjustment, so this needs to be done by the app/phone. Also the ear amplifiers can be turned off/on by pressing and holding touch sensor for a few seconds. This can't be done while listening to music and also each ear bud needs to be turned off/on individually.Overall there is a lot to like about these bluetooth ear amplifiers/earphones AFTER downloading the app. The app is feature rich and pretty easy to use. Music and movies sound good while paired to my phone. My biggest complaint is the 6-7 hr battery life (per charge) and the lack of controls via earbud. Outside of that its a hearing amplifier/earbud. *****4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS****
