I actually bought this Beckett pump to replace another Beckett pump that was installed with my room air conditioner 7 years ago and started to overflow a month ago so I ordered a new model. But when I took the old one apart, I cleaned the mold or algae (whatever) inside the pump body and cleaned around the slots that protect the pump mechanism and the old one came back to life just before I got the new one from Revain got - II Keep the old one running and save the new one for bad times - who knows, the old one can last another 7 years.
