So far so good for fuel pumps and accessories

My pump has only been running for a few months so I can't comment on its durability. But so far it's working fine. I'm pumping about 25 feet horizontally through polyethylene tubing and 3 feet into a sink, so I don't have a huge need for pressure. The pump will empty in less than 10 seconds. The hum is not unpleasant. I accidentally kicked it and the overflow switch went off. You must cycle power (unplug) the device to reset the switch. If it lasts I can recommend it.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quality

Beckett keeps licking and ticking (or pumping, depending)!

I actually bought this Beckett pump to replace another Beckett pump that was installed with my room air conditioner 7 years ago and started to overflow a month ago so I ordered a new model. But when I took the old one apart, I cleaned the mold or algae (whatever) inside the pump body and cleaned around the slots that protect the pump mechanism and the old one came back to life just before I got the new one from Revain got - II Keep the old one running and save the new one for bad times - who…

Persistent horrible strong chemical odor

When I first opened the box there was a very strong horrible chemical odor coming from the pump motor housing. So I aired the pump in the sun for several days, but the strong chemical smell hasn't gone away. If we left the pump in the room, this toxic odor would fill the air in the room, giving us severe headaches and dizziness. So we got a return authorization from Revain. Made in China. The description refers to using "OEM parts" so I'm wondering if this is a copy of Beckett pumps which have…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

. I bought this to replace the same existing (faulty) unit to replace that was installed with my gas. Furnace about 6 years ago. I think the heater company charged me $150 for the unit so it was nice to find one for 1/3 the price of Revain. Note: There are two electrical wires that you must manually crimp into your oven's existing wiring. This was easy (I had a few wired connections) but note that you will need to make a simple cable to connect the unit to your oven. This was expected when I…

Works quite well with electric fuel pumps

This was a replacement for a Beckett AC condensate pump that ran for over 20 years before it finally broke. I had to modify the device to connect to the existing system's copper tubing. I reused the check valve from the old unit as I didn't want to use the hose barb on the new units. I could have used the newer check valve that came with this pump by cutting the burr on the hose and buying a 1/4" NPT adapter, but I had adapters for the 1/4" FNPT Connection. Works great. Two problems: (1) the…

Failed and flooded - quick replacement

My first one was great, lasted forever but started to sound like it was about to break, no big deal, it's at least 4 years old, maybe older. (It was already installed when I moved in) I'm buying a new one and to be honest it lasts 6 DAYS, probably less because judging by the amount of water that has seeped into the drywall and entire basement it's probably around the 4th day around is out of service. .actually the current goes to the pump and the float doesn't get stuck anyway. To measure how…

Replaces CB151SUL. Easy installation. I saved $$$ by making it myself.

Bought to replace my old unit which was a Beckett CB151LSUL. The old one lasted about 10 years. Hopefully this new one will last another 10. My old unit didn't have the 2 extra blue wires going to the HVAC to disable it if the pump fails. This new device has extra wires. I don't know how to connect these cables. From what I've learned from the internet this should be very easy, but I'm a little scared of doing it myself. I'm not exactly an HVAC guy. Luckily, these two wires are optional. They…

Fortunately, the NC switch can easily be reconfigured as new.

This Becket CB151UL is a replacement for a 17 year old Becket CB151SUL that has served us well removing condensate from two adjacent HVAC systems in the summer and pumping residual water from two Aprilaire humidifiers in the winter. Eventually, the water supply rate to the humidifiers exceeded the capacity of the pumps, causing the reservoir to overflow. This slightly different model, note the absence of the "S", incorporates a safety switch which is a regular NC (normally closed) microswitch…
