I needed new spare tire bumpers after installing closer spaced wheels with bigger tires on my jeep. The stock spare tire bumpers didn't even touch, and I didn't want my tire to cause excessive vibration and put extra stress on the tailgate hinges. The bumpers did the trick, but make sure you measure how much you need to trim before cutting. I got lucky and cut off just enough to keep the tire secure when the cleats are tightened.
