Review on 🔍 WIX Filters 49012 Air Filter Panel - 1 Pack by Nick Walker

The WIX Air Filter Plate 49012 is an OEM compatible engine air filter replacement. This air filter came in standard WIX packaging. Inside the box was a filter, instructions and a sheet with information about the manufacturer. This product was installed on a 2011 WRX and used for about a month. The installation of the WIX 49012 air cleaner panel was very similar to the original Subaru air cleaner, although not exactly the same. Installing the filter is very simple, remove a few clips and unscrew the air intake for easy access to the air filter housing. You can change the air filter without removing the air intake, but that makes things a little more difficult as you have to properly manipulate the placement of the air filter box and air intake. You can also accidentally detach some of the hoses. After installing WIX 49012, the mass airflow sensor gave the same numbers as a new car (unfortunately I forgot to read before installing a new filter). These numbers were recorded via Tactrix 2 cable and RomRaider. On the dyno scale, the WRX feels more responsive than it did before the new filter was installed; Before the adjustment there was a very slight jitter that seems to have disappeared. Unfortunately my MPG seems to have decreased due to this loss of oscillation as I'm catching it on the bottom more often. All in all, the WIX 49012 Air Filter Panel is a good, affordable and easy to install replacement OEM compatible air filter. Unfortunately I didn't write any numbers just before installing the new air cleaner, but my impression of this air cleaner is that my 2011 WRX is at least as responsive as it was when I bought it. I recommend the WIX 49012 Air Filter Panel to anyone looking for an inexpensive compatible replacement air filter.
