I bought these because my rear main seal is leaking and I intend to use them in the future. I have a friend who works at a dealer who offered me a tool for it and I got this one instead. When I tried to put it on the back cover it didn't fit on the motor. Come to the realization that it is not perfectly finished. A page was about. 01 is thicker than the other side (about 3 sheets of paper). I actually wanted to return it at the time, but found I wanted it even more. Turning it over allowed me to mount it. I then turned the bottom screws slightly and was able to turn them all the way effortlessly. Being out of control got me thinking. I could use it to check the crankshaft flange to make sure it's not round (one of my problems is the source of the leak. I marked the thick spot and adjusted the cap so I had 9 o'clock friction). and 3 hrs. I stuck a couple of screws into my flexplate and rotated it 180 degrees by hand. I used an out-of-round hub to see if there was friction between the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock, and indeed I did. This told me my crank flange was round. Then I aligned the cap with the hub until it was right in the middle. I tested this by rotating the hub 90 degrees in all directions until play was even. around. I then used the setup tool to hit print at my buddy's to borrow it. In the end I was very happy with how it worked and I will make good use of it in the future.
