Tool required. Very good quality for such a small instrument. Definitely made with love. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: The size of the tool is very small, which allows it to fit in tiny spaces. See photos for comparison with standard size 1/4" cobalt ratchet. The head size is also very small and light. - The finish is very nice. Good consistency, no scratches or burrs. The finish also does not leave fingerprints unlike the chrome finish on the instrument. The number of teeth is very good for the size of the tool. Cons: I always accidentally flip the direction tab once while using this tool. It doesn't take much effort to flip it and given the size of the tool and the way you have to hold it, you'll inevitably flip it once every time you use it.
