Review on πŸ’¨ Enhanced Magnetic Dryer Vent Coupling - MagVent MV-180 by Preston Molden

Not suitable for some ventilation ducts

My house is built on a slab (I hate it!) but it had enough space that I needed at the time of purchase. But this is another story. The reason I'm pointing this out is to let you know that I can't replace the tumble dryer vent tube since it's buried in a concrete slab. I'm assuming it's a 4 inch PVC pipe. But it has to be thick. The short tube on the back of the magnet ring will not slip inside or outside the PVC tube coming out of the wall. , Point. So after much shaking and a few scoldings I decided to install the whole thing in reverse of the intended method. I watched all the installation videos. So I installed a magnetic ring on the back of the dryer and an expandable tube with a ring on the vent tube that sticks out of walls. I used a 4" yoke on both ports. After a lot of bending, measuring, and leveling, I finally got a joint that made a halfway decent connection. I measure two different dryers. The center of both outlets is 7 1/2" from the floor removed. However, the center of the wall air intake is only 3 1/2" off the floor. BTW my units face each other in a closet, dryer on one end, washer on the other end. With walls on three sides, can in the back of cars nothing to be seen, touched or maneuvered without using a few yoga poses If all the inputs and outputs are aligned this product probably works well but with any offset it leaves something to be desired A more polarized magnetic ring and a more flexible hose would have helped me with the install well its currently running at 75 percent compression on an electric dryer i will leave it for now.
