Buy the deluxe version instead. And the banks are terrible! Get a deck box.

I bought this game because I knew the party version was better, but the base game was 3 times cheaper than the party version so I wanted to give it a try. I wanted this too because the jar is a lot smaller than the party version and I was planning on keeping a cute little Sushi Go for myself! Tin when I first ordered it. I've changed my mind and I'll tell you why: Sushi Go! The can was smashed in the corner quite badly as can be seen in my photos. Mine still closes but looks terrible. I don't want to be brief, but tin box games are generally not a good idea, especially if you're shipping them through the mail. Also, several of my cards were damaged in the middle. Cards. Weird bug, but I'm glad they're not badly marked (I hardly noticed that when playing solo). Also, many of them have a crooked curve. It's hard to see in the picture, but you can tell when you hold it in your hand. Finally, when you decide to put the cards up your sleeve, they won't fit in the jar. That's not such a big deal, since you can find a 100-card deck box for less than $10. The biggest problem with the glass is that it's not suitable for travel; it can definitely be crushed by force. One wrong move with a bag or purse and boom: a broken tin can. Again, you can cheaply buy a deck box to put your cards in, yes, but I just wanted to point out that the jar the game comes with isn't travel-friendly. But the display looks great! The sushi are embossed and the illustrations are a pleasure to look at. On the plus side, the cards feel nice and thick, and the little illustrations and instruction manual are just valuable. It's also a simple and fast game, so I think kids and adults can have fun playing it together. If you just want to take some spare change for your car or similar, this might be for you. If you want the best family night game, get the deluxe version.
