Bought these bottles while we were traveling. There are practically no leaks. I like the lid as children often drop their stuff or leave it unattended. Sometimes when I open the spout after it's been closed for a while, it splashes. We don't drink fizzy drinks, that's not the point. I think this is simply because kids drink and immediately close and not let air back into the bottle. The spout closes too easily when drinking, so you have to hold it open with your teeth or lips. If I could find better capped bottles I would trade them in but the cap is the best feature. Good that cold water stays cold for a long time. I've thought about getting a bigger size but not sure how much effort it takes to get a sip. It's good for kids and they don't complain but I wouldn't recommend it to any teenager or adult.
