I am preparing for the upcoming eclipse so I decided to add these binoculars to my inventory. I am very happy with the performance of the 10x25 pair. They offer adequate resolution, and the 10x magnification provides a much more satisfying view of the sun than basic eclipse glasses. To feel this, you need to know that the sun occupies about half a degree of the sky. A 10x magnification increases this to about 5Β°. If you extend two fingers at arm's length, the width of those fingers is about 5Β°. I was also pleasantly surprised by its compact size and convenient carry case with belt loop. to see sunspots. A few small sunspots were visible the day I received them and they were clearly visible. The only criticism I can think of is that there must be a way to permanently lock a pair of such dots to the "infinity" focus. , since you don't need to use them for anything other than observing the sun. Looking anywhere else would be useless and would produce a black image anyway as they are designed to block almost all light. The thin cable/tape doesn't even deserve criticism as the binoculars are so light that they don't cause any discomfort. Be sure to use it safely! Aim them at the ground, bring your eyes to the eyepieces, and then raise your head to face the sun. When you are finished viewing, bow your head to the ground before removing the binoculars. This will prevent you from accidentally looking at the sun without binoculars. Enjoy watching!
